Print Candee Blog Hop July

Hey there! This is a bittersweet post because it’s a fun Print Candee Blog Hop, but it’s also my last. Working with Print Candee has been awesome and working with my fellow Creative Team members has been even more awesome. They’re some of the most talented crafters I know and supportive, encouraging and fun on top of it. I’ll miss you all, friends! But the nice part is, we still have our blogs, e-mail and all that good stuff to keep in touch. And we will for sure. 🙂

On to today’s hop! Our theme is “anything goes,” so I created a card using a concept I’d been wanting to try for a while. I took a bunch of digital frames from Adrienne Looman’s collection and created a card with them as the focal point.

The next stop on the hop is to my sweet friend, Marion’s blog. And if you get lost, here’s the entire blog hop order:

Kalyn (me!)

So that’s it for my final Print Candee Hop! I want to say a huge thank you to Jocelyn who put this Creative Team together and gave me the opportunity to design for Print Candee. I’ve learned so much and enjoyed working with digital supplies more than I ever thought I could – it’s really opened me up creatively. She’s also just been an awesome coordinator, teammate and friend. And a big hug to my fellow Creative Team members – you all know I adore you and your work. 🙂

Print Candee May Blog Hop

Hey there! Long time, no blog, I know. I've been so busy preparing for my upcoming cruise (in 12 days!!!) and finishing projects to post while I'm away. But it's been a fun (maybe interesting is a better word) exercise in how quickly I can create. This coming weekend will be my sprint to the finish to see how much crafting one person can really do in 2 days. And somehow I'll have to squeeze in a last-minute shopping trip (a girl needs white shorts for a cruise, am I right?).

Anyhoo, today I have a really fun Print Candee project to share with you. The awesome Creative Team Coordinator (and a sweet online friend of mine), Jocelyn Olson found a fun inspiration photo for the team to create cards based on.

We could choose any piece or aspect of the inspiration photo to create from and the multi-colored clutch in the right corner spoke to me immediately. So I came up with this:

I chose a bunch of different patterned papers that had colors close to the ones in the bag, then tweaked them here and there in Photoshop to get as close to the colors in the bag as possible. I also used a woodgrain patterned paper for the center embellishment to mimic the wooden clasp on the front of the bag. Then I topped it off with a little heat embossing with an American Crafts stamp.

Everything I used (except for the stamp, cardstock and embossing powder) is from the Print Candee site. Here's the specific list of patterned papers I used (in clockwise order):

Green floral

Blue dots

Blue stripes

Orange hexagons

Yellow grid

Pink umbrellas

Fuschia chevron

Now it's time to hop on to the next designer's blog! Here's the order of our hop:

Print Candee Vintage Bee Card

Hey there! Happy April 1st! I'm not one to really get into the "April Fools' Day" part (although, I always enjoy Google's joke), but I'm always happy to cross over into the more springy months.

Today, I've got a Print Candee card to share with you – using clip art, brushes and a patterned paper from the store!

I am absolutely obsessed with Photoshop brushes lately and Adrienne Looman Designs has some gorgeous vintage-inspired images, brushes and papers on the Print Candee site. You could really have quite the shopping spree in there.

Be sure to check out my fellow Creative Team members' blogs (located on the left side of my blog page) and see what they've cooked up for our fun April 1st projects. Thanks for stopping by and Happy April to you!

Print Candee Blog Hop

Hey there! I hope you're week's going swimmingly well so far! And if it hasn't, it's about to get much better because I have another blog hop for you! Whoo hoo! This time it's for Print Candee – I'm a new design team member with them and I'm really loving it. They sell digital clip art, stamps, patterned papers, scrapbook page kits, fonts, and a lot more from various digital designers. So you can purchase designs made by Print Candee itself or designs from a bunch of other designers – it is quite literally a candy store for digital craft goodies.

So back to the blog hop. This particular hop has a fun theme – babies and kids! Who doesn't love a baby or kid, right? They're pretty darn cute. So, we're celebrating the little ones with projects inspired by them. I created this card using a clipart set from Digital Potpourri called "Cute Jungle Animals" along with a piece of patterned paper from the "Sweet Girl Baby Shower" paper pack by Print Candee.

Patterned paper: (pink stripe) Print Candee, (gingham) October Afternoon

Now onto the extra fun part! There are prizes! Can I get a whoo hoo? We have some awesome prizes that are "hidden" on some of our blogs, so you increase your chance of winning by commenting on each stop of the hop. The prizes at stake include: Print Candee gift certificates, Papertrey Ink Favor It Die #6, Papertrey Ink white cardstock, Martha Stewart punches, Japanese washi tape, Glue Dots Dimensional and Mini adhesives, American Crafts Thickers and Doodlebug Design border stickers. Sheesh! Are they not awesome? Wish I could win. 🙂 We'll announce the winners of the prizes on September 5th. You have until 11:59pm EST on Saturday, September 3rd to comment for prizes. So don't forget! And not only are there prizes on our blogs, but there is one prize being given on the Print Candee blog, so be sure to stop by there and leave a comment to win.

And if that isn't enough (of course it is, but who doesn't want even more?) the Print Candee store is offering 15% off of everything right now! Prices are very reasonable to start with – especially since these are supplies that you can use over and over again – and now they're even cheaper! So guilt-free shopping right there.

Well now it's time for you to hop to the next blog which belongs to the sweet and talented Marion Vagg. Visit her blog here and hop along!

To start this hop from the very beginning (which you definitely should to get the full hopping experience) go to the Print Candee blog and start the hop there.

Thanks so much for stopping by and hopping along with me again!
