Pie Chart Father’s Day Card

Hey friends! Happy Sunday! Hope you had a great week and are in the middle of a relaxing weekend. I enjoyed a beautiful wedding with my boyfriend last night. It’s always fun to get a little gussied up and sip on cocktails Mad Men-style.

I can’t believe tomorrow starts the beginning of June! It’s craziness. I’m just embracing each day of my favorite season while it lasts. And Father’s Day will be here before you know it! So I’ve been busy creating as many different card ideas as I can think up (and have time for, darn those 24 hours in a day).

Today’s card is up on the Virtual Smooches blog as well and features the Off the Charts stamp set from Paper Smooches. I created a math/science-inspired card for the geeky or smarty pants dad in your life. Watch the video below to see how it all came together!

Gold Floral Wedding Card & Video

Hi friends! Happy Friday! Hope your week went well and you’re in store for a fun, relaxing weekend! I’m actually sick with a nasty head cold, so I’m not enjoying that so much. Just trying to rest up and get better as soon as possible.

On the bright side, I’ve got a new card and video to share with you today that went up on the Virtual Smooches blog on Sunday. I’m thinking ahead to wedding season and trying to get some cards ready in my stash. I wanted to go for a layered, collage-style card, but with an elegant twist. I heat embossed on vellum and then added washi tape and die cuts to finish it off. Watch the video below or over at my YouTube channel to see how it all came together:

I love the way this card turned out and the gold embossing on vellum is definitely a technique I’ll be coming back to. I think this card could also work for an anniversary occasion as well – why not? Happy Monday, friends! I hope this is the start of a great week for you! Today I’m sharing a card that I created for the Virtual Smooches blog yesterday. It’s a spring-themed card that I think is perfect for this time of year.

I used lots of patterned paper from Crate Paper as well as the Paper Smooches Spring Groves stamp set, Just for You Icons dies and Butterflies 2 dies. Check out my video below to see step-by-step how the card came together!

So that’s today’s card for you! I hope you liked it and definitely leave me a comment below if there’s a technique or type of card you’d like to see next! I’m always up for suggestions!

Easter Jelly Bean Card & Video

Hi friends! Hope you’re having a great week so far! Spring has finally showed its beautiful face in my neck of the woods and I couldn’t be happier. Plus I got my first-ever facial yesterday and it was nothing short of amazing. I can see how one would get accustomed (aka addicted) to getting them on a regular basis.

Anyhoo, to usher in spring as quickly as possible, I’ve started making spring and Easter-themed cards. Today I’m sharing one that I made for the Virtual Smooches blog featuring Paper Smooches stamps and dies. I made a video to go along with it, so you can check out how it all came together. Part of why I love watching card-making videos is to get a peek into other people’s processes. So I’ve made sure to include bits and pieces in mine to let you see how I fix mistakes or how I change my mind throughout the design process. Hope you enjoy it!

So there you have it! My Easter jelly bean card featuring probably my favorite “critter” stamp in the whole Paper Smooches collection. Do you have a favorite PS critter? Let me know in a comment below!

Tea Cake Birthday Card & Video

Hi there! Today I’ve got a card and video to share that was featured on the Virtual Smooches blog last week. I created a birthday card using Paper Smooches stamps and die cuts as accents. I wanted to show how you can use your favorite stamps as more than just a focal point. They’re so cute we often love using them as the star of the show, but they also make great embellishments, accents and background patterns!

Take a look at my step-by-step tutorial here:

I used the Shimelle collection by American Crafts for my patterned papers and tag/ticket die cuts as well as some pink baker’s twine from The Twinery.

Hope you enjoyed today’s card and video and as always, thanks so much for stopping by!

Heart Balloons Valentine & Video

Hey friends! Hope your week is starting on a happy note! I had a surprising day off from school due to freezing rain, so I’m actually quite thankful to have a day to get caught up on things.

Today I’m sharing my latest Paper Smooches video featuring a Valentine I made using heart balloon dies. It’s a super easy card that could be used with lots of different patterned papers and could be easily reproduced for classmates, coworkers or friends. Watch the video below to see how it all came together!

That’s it for today! Hope this card gave you an idea for a Valentine and be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel to get all my latest videos to show up in your Subscription feed!
