Thoughtful Branches Card

Hey there! I’m so happy to say that I’m back home from a summer away and back in my beautiful craft space. I haven’t been able to craft very much these last two months because of my internship, but I’m so glad to be back in my happy place now. I had an awesome summer, don’t get me wrong. But there’s nothing like getting back into your favorite hobby that just makes you feel…centered. Pretty deep for a Friday, I know.

So let’s get into today’s card! The awesome people at Stampin’ Up! sent me the adorable Thoughtful Branches bundle to play with and I had so much fun using it. Botanical sets are my favorite to use, so this one is going to get a lot of love from me in the future. It’s super versatile and the coordinating dies open up the options even more. Here’s what I created:

I made a subtle background pattern using two of the leaf stamps in the set and then stamped and die cut the tree trunk and leaves to add on top. I also added a little blue bird to the top of the tree (you get two birds in this set!). I finished off the stamping with one of the sentiments in the set and then added some buttons and a little patterned paper flag that matched my color palette!

I hope you enjoyed today’s card and be sure to check out the Thoughtful Branches bundle while it lasts – the deal ends August 31st! All supplies I used are listed below!

Happy crafting,

Happy Place Card

Happy Monday, friends! I hope you’re having a good start to the week! And I’m really hoping for some sunny and warm weather because it’s been chilly and rainy where I live for way too long.

I just wanted to pop in and share a card I made for Paper Smooches using the new Get Outta Town Icons die set. The set pairs with the Get Outta Town stamp set, of course, and I had fun making this card using the Open road collection from Crate Paper.

I die cut and stamped the suitcase image from cork paper, which is my new favorite thing. It’s just so fun to make your own custom embellishments with! And you can really stamp on it easily, as long as you’re using a dark or very pigmented ink color. Check the list of supplies I used below if you want to grab some of that cork for yourself!

So that’s it for today! I’m hoping to get back to filming some craft videos for my YouTube channel, so if there’s anything you’d like to see, let me know in a comment and I’ll add it to my list of videos to film!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Hello Birdie Card

Hey there! Well, it’s official! I’m finished with my first year of grad school (but I still have a summer class to take if we’re getting technical). I’m thrilled at what I’ve learned this past year and it’s made me appreciate the fun and creativity of making cards even more. I’m studying graphic design and love every minute of it.

So today, I thought I’d share a fun card I made using some of the Crate Paper Wonder collection (absolutely love this line):

I really enjoyed layering the patterned papers underneath the acetate and chipboard stickers. The colors in this collection just mix so well. I added some enamel dots to top it all off! Hope you enjoyed this one and be sure to check out the product links below for the items I used on this project!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Botanical Thank You Card

Hey there friends! Hope this week is going well for you! And if you didn’t win the Powerball, darn. Me neither. Looks like we’ll just have to keep spending our hard earned money on craft supplies instead of fantasy lottery money. Either way, crafts must go on!

Today I wanted to share a simple botanical thank you card I made. I used my favorite impression plate of all time, the woodgrain one from Papertrey Ink. I also used their Meadow Greens stamp set (and coordinating dies) and the “thank you” stamp from their Masculine Motifs stamp set.

I stamped the bottom half of my leaf image using Limeade Ice ink and then stamped the top half using Aqua Mist. This gave it a beautiful gradient effect that I just love. I then die cut it out using the coordinating die and glued it down. I die cut two leaves from vellum and heat embossed one in white. I knew the card needed just one more thing, so I added some gold floral washi tape from Little B.

So there you have it! A super simple, but delicate thank you card! I actually made two of these at the same time and it was easy to reproduce. This definitely could be a card you mass-produce for party guests or for Christmas thank you’s!

Have a fantastic day,

Butterfly Mom Card

Hey friends! Hope you’re enjoying some post-holiday bliss! I know my guy and I are enjoying lots of craft/video game time and of course, catching up on the Star Wars movies, so that I can go see the new one.

I just wanted to pop in and share a card I made for my mom’s birthday using one of my favorite collections, Crate Paper’s Notes & Things. I also used the Paper Smooches “mom” stamp from the Word Up set.

I also wanted to let you know that I added a new Gallery page to my blog, so you can check out lots of my cards all in one spot! Hope you have a happy Monday!

Merry Christmas Sled Card

Hey friends! Happy Tuesday to you! Christmas is inching closer and I’m back today to share another festive card! I made this one last year, but it’s one of my absolute favorites, so I had to share it!

I used the Crate Paper Bundled Up collection for the papers and the adorable die cuts. I then die cut my own snowflake and added buttons as well as my favorite Papertrey Ink doily edger die.

Photo Christmas Card

Hey there, friends! Just wanted to pop in and share a photo card that I created last year using one of my favorite Crate Paper Christmas collections. I love how colorful it is and it reminds me that Christmas cards don’t always have to be traditional colors! Break out those neons and pinks!

For the photo, I simply used a picture I had of some decorative pinecones. I then layered a leafy die cut over the top and finished it off with a popped-up label sticker.

Hope you’re enjoying Christmas Week and getting all of your last-minute gifting and crafting done!

Use Your Stash – Christmas Card

Hey friends! I’ve got a brand new video and Christmas card to share with you today! I’m so excited to be on break from school and have lots of crafty time to create! It’s just the best feeling.

So, I had lots of Christmas cards to make this year and wanted to use up lots of my older collections that I’ve been saving. And what better way to do it than make some adorable patterned paper trees? Take a look at the process video I made below (or on my YouTube channel) to see how it came together!
