Hey friends! Just wanted to drop in on this gorgeous Tuesday (it’s actually really cloudy here, but who cares) and share some of my recent Paper Smooches projects with you. This first one uses the new Polka Dot Borders dies as well as some of my favorite bits and pieces from the Crate Paper Notes & Things collection
This next card features the Silver & Gold stamp set from Paper Smooches as well as paper from Amy Tangerine and die cuts from Shimelle. I’m definitely into creating layered cards lately. They’re my favorite!
Hi there! Hope you’re enjoying this festive time of year! Even though I’m all about celebrating fall until December, I do love making Christmas cards early. They’re just so much fun and making them is probably my #1 way to get in the holiday spirit.
So today I’m sharing a Starbucks-inspired card using the Cool Cup Die-namics die set and the Stay Cool stamp set from My Favorite Things. These sets were designed by the oh-so-talented Laina Lamb and I love how they can be used for any time of year. I added the little heart circle icon from the Soda Pop stamp set.
I added some light inking to the top of my whipped cream die cut shape to give it some depth and I love the outcome. Then I topped off my cup with a bit of red baker’s twine!
Hope you enjoyed this little cup-o-cheer card! Be sure to check out the stamps and dies I used at mftstamps.com.
Hey there! It’s another My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge day! Today it’s #238 that we’re playing with. Take a look!
Here’s how I interpreted it. I used the Hip Clips die set and the Birthday Wishes & Balloons stamp set on this one. I just adore this sentiment stamp set. It’s so whimsical and cute. And I love the way the Hip Clips dies can be used as actual book marks or as fun embellishments!
Hi friends! Well, we’ve made it to April! Spring, Easter, bright colors and more are finally on the horizon. I’m thrilled. So today I’m sharing a very spring-inspired floral birthday card and video to go along with it!
I used the Reflections stamp set from Paper Smooches as well as the coordinating dies that go along with it. This is such a versatile set and you can make a million different designs with it. Definitely a collection staple! Direct links to all products used are in the description section of the video, so be sure to check that out!
This card is super simple to make all you need are your stamps, ink and dies and you’re set! If you go watch my video on YouTube, I’d love it if you gave it a “thumbs up” or considered subscribing to stay up-to-date on all my latest craft videos!

For my card project, I used the Fancy Frames Icons dies. I paired two of them along with the Fancy Frames stamps (they fit perfectly together) and then die cut one frame using some fun BasicGrey patterned paper from their Knee Highs collection.
The “hello” sentiment I used is also from the Fancy Frames set and the little dotted stripe at the bottom is from the Borderlicious stamp set.
Hope you enjoy today’s hop – I know I will! I love seeing what the team comes up with! Your next stop is the fabulous Kay Miller!
Happy Monday, friends! Hope you had a nice, relaxing weekend and that your ready to take on the week! I’m enjoying my last day off before my second semester starts. I’m very excited to get back into the swing of designing and honing my skills, though.
One thing I’m resolving to do this new year is to try more techniques and experiment with my supplies a bit more. I’ve been super inspired lately by Wilna Furstenburg and have been binge-watching her YouTube videos. She is so free and whimsical and her projects are just breathtaking. I’m hoping I can pick up some pointers from her and get a little more artsy with my designs.
On today’s card, I used Papertrey Ink stamps and a watercolor stamping technique. I first inked up my stamp, then used a spritz bottle to apply just one spritz of water to the inked stamp. Then I stamped it right onto the project! Easy peasy. I did this a few times for the bigger leaf cluster stamps and then stamped normally over top of them. I love the result and definitely want to try this on future projects.
I used the Embellished Elegance stamp set from Papertrey Ink on this card (one of my all-time favorites from them) and an assortment of Hero Arts, Tim Holtz and Papertrey Ink inks.
Have you tried this technique? I’d love it if you left a link to a card you’ve made in the comments section! Thank you so much for stopping by!
Hi there! Hope your Tuesday is going well and you’re staying warm! I’ve got another Valentine card to share today, but one that could easily make a great anniversary card as well. And it’s super quick and easy to make! Who doesn’t love that?
I used the Daily Flash set from October Afternoon, which is a fantastic must-have set if you like ampersands. And last time I checked, we all love ampersands. There’s just something about them. The sentiment I chose was from the Sock Hop Card Kit from Studio Calico.
Hope you liked today’s card and thanks so much for stopping by!
Hi friends! Hope your week is off to a good start! Did you watch the Golden Globes last night? I always love watching award shows, especially for the acceptance speeches. I just find them so inspiring. And of course I enjoy looking at (and critiquing) everyone’s fashion choices as well.
But let’s get down to crafty business! Today I’ve got a layout to share with you! It’s not often that I make layouts, but I love doing it and am definitely hoping to get lots more scrapbooking done in 2015. I’m really excited by the new scrapbooking trends I’ve been noticing and incorporating more of it into home decor rather than just in albums. I’m truly excited about where the industry is going!
This layout was featured in the Simple Patterns for Paper Crafters special issue from Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking magazine. Be sure to click the link above to get a copy (paper or digital still available) if you don’t have it already! The issue featured exact patterns and diagrams so that you could complete each project using minimal paper and embellishments. It was by far one of my favorite issues I’ve worked on.
These gold glitter Thickers are my favorite and I had been saving them (hoarding them) for just the right project. I also used touches of gold embossing on the layout to pick up the gold from the title.
Well that’s it for today! Hope you enjoyed seeing a different type of project from me (more to come, pink promise!). And I’d love to know, since it’s been on my mind, what do you see for the future of paper crafting and scrapbooking? What are you most excited to try (technique-wise or a new style of memory keeping)? Leave me a comment below – I’d love to know your opinions!
Hi there! Hope your first full week of January is off to a great start! How are those resolutions coming? One of mine is to blog on a regular basis, so I’m working on it!
I’ve got a Valentine to share with you today and a video to show you how I made it! I used Paper Smooches stamps and dies and some Crate Paper patterned paper. Check out the description box of the video for direct links to the products I used. Hope you like it!
As always, thanks for stopping by! I’d love to hear any feedback you have regarding blogging and what you’d like to see in 2015 from me! I’ll be doing lots more posts, videos and how-to’s so I’m open to suggestions. Have a fantastic day!
