Happy Monday, friends! I hope you’re having a good start to the week! And I’m really hoping for some sunny and warm weather because it’s been chilly and rainy where I live for way too long.
I just wanted to pop in and share a card I made for Paper Smooches using the new Get Outta Town Icons die set. The set pairs with the Get Outta Town stamp set, of course, and I had fun making this card using the Open road collection from Crate Paper.
I die cut and stamped the suitcase image from cork paper, which is my new favorite thing. It’s just so fun to make your own custom embellishments with! And you can really stamp on it easily, as long as you’re using a dark or very pigmented ink color. Check the list of supplies I used below if you want to grab some of that cork for yourself!
So that’s it for today! I’m hoping to get back to filming some craft videos for my YouTube channel, so if there’s anything you’d like to see, let me know in a comment and I’ll add it to my list of videos to film!

I created a card using the new Paint Strokes dies. I cut them out of different colors of cardstock and then layered a sentiment over top of them for an easy, but whimsical card!
I hope you enjoyed my card and be sure to keep on hopping for your chance to win the gift card! I also hope you and your families have the most wonderful holiday season and Christmas! Thanks so much for another year of crafting along with me!
Hey there! It’s another My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge day! Today it’s #238 that we’re playing with. Take a look!
Here’s how I interpreted it. I used the Hip Clips die set and the Birthday Wishes & Balloons stamp set on this one. I just adore this sentiment stamp set. It’s so whimsical and cute. And I love the way the Hip Clips dies can be used as actual book marks or as fun embellishments!
Hey there! Happy almost-weekend! I just wanted pop in and share that I have a new photo tutorial up on the Silhouette blog today. It features some fun ink blending and of course, awesome cut files. Here’s a peek:
Be sure to check out the full tutorial post over on the Silhouette blog, so you can see how it all came together! Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hey there! Happy mid-week to you! Hope you’re enjoying summer! I sure am. I’m back with another My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge card today, #237. I had fun with layering and pattern mixing on this one (one of my favorite things to do). Be sure to check out the My Favorite Things Challenge post to see how the design team interpreted the sketch.
I loved using some of the Die-Namics Blueprints 26 dies to create a popped-up sentiment and I definitely want to use this technique again soon.
Hope you enjoy today’s Sketch Challenge – can’t wait to see what the other designers create!
Hey friends! I’m back with another Sketch Challenge card for My Favorite Things! We’re on Sketch #236 and it’s a super versatile one. Be sure to check out what the design team members created over at the MFT Challenge Blog!
Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to play along with this week’s MFT sketch!
Hey there! I’m here with some exciting news today – I’m the July Guest Designer at My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge blog! How fun is that? I love using sketches in my card designs, so was thrilled to get to play with some MFT goodies and sketches.
I took Sketch #235 and created a bright and simple birthday card:
I used a yellow, teal and green color scheme to create a card that I thought would work for any recipient. I stamped a balloon background on my focal point circle element and then topped it off with a sentiment banner and two stamped and die cut balloons. I added some white gel pen to the stamped balloons to give them a bit of reflection.
I hope you play along with this week’s sketch! I’d love to see what you create! Thank you so much for stopping by and thanks to My Favorite Things for letting me play along with them this month!
Hey there, friends! Hope you’re having a happy Wednesday so far! I just wanted to drop in and let you know that a new card tutorial video went up on the Virtual Smooches blog on Monday and I wanted to share it with you!
Since wedding season is upon us, I thought I’d create an elegant wedding card and incorporate some embossing techniques. I heat embossed on vellum and love the result. It reminds me of lace!
Hey friends! Hope you’re in the middle of a great week! It finally feels like summer here and I’m loving it.
Since Father’s Day is fast approaching, I’ve got another card idea to share with you using Paper Smooches stamps and dies. This one uses Incognito, Design Motifs, Glasses Dies and the Bookmarks dies.Watch the video below to see how it all came together! And be sure to check the description box on the video over at YouTube to get direct links to all of the supplies I used.
That’s it for today! Thanks so much for stopping by and if you want to catch my latest craft videos as soon as they hit YouTube, be sure to subscribe to my channel (it’s free, by the way).
