Hi there! Hope you’re enjoying this festive time of year! Even though I’m all about celebrating fall until December, I do love making Christmas cards early. They’re just so much fun and making them is probably my #1 way to get in the holiday spirit.
So today I’m sharing a Starbucks-inspired card using the Cool Cup Die-namics die set and the Stay Cool stamp set from My Favorite Things. These sets were designed by the oh-so-talented Laina Lamb and I love how they can be used for any time of year. I added the little heart circle icon from the Soda Pop stamp set.
I added some light inking to the top of my whipped cream die cut shape to give it some depth and I love the outcome. Then I topped off my cup with a bit of red baker’s twine!
Hope you enjoyed this little cup-o-cheer card! Be sure to check out the stamps and dies I used at mftstamps.com.
Hey there! So it’s my final day as a Guest Designer for the My Favorite Things Challenge Blog. It’s been such a fun time and I’ve really enjoyed creating new projects with their latest stamps and dies! And of course, my dear friend Susan, has said such sweet things about me over on the challenge blog. She really is the best cheerleader and supporter.
Let’s get on to today’s sketch shall we? This is #239 and I interpreted it with a balloon as the main focal circle and some stamping as the accent circle. I had a lot of fun with this using the Die-Namics Blueprints 26 die set and the Birthday Wishes & Balloons stamp set. They make a fun birthday card come together effortlessly.
So there you have it! Be sure to check out the official Sketch #239 post and see what the entire design team came up with!
Hey there! It’s another My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge day! Today it’s #238 that we’re playing with. Take a look!
Here’s how I interpreted it. I used the Hip Clips die set and the Birthday Wishes & Balloons stamp set on this one. I just adore this sentiment stamp set. It’s so whimsical and cute. And I love the way the Hip Clips dies can be used as actual book marks or as fun embellishments!
Hey there! Happy mid-week to you! Hope you’re enjoying summer! I sure am. I’m back with another My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge card today, #237. I had fun with layering and pattern mixing on this one (one of my favorite things to do). Be sure to check out the My Favorite Things Challenge post to see how the design team interpreted the sketch.
I loved using some of the Die-Namics Blueprints 26 dies to create a popped-up sentiment and I definitely want to use this technique again soon.
Hope you enjoy today’s Sketch Challenge – can’t wait to see what the other designers create!
Hey friends! I’m back with another Sketch Challenge card for My Favorite Things! We’re on Sketch #236 and it’s a super versatile one. Be sure to check out what the design team members created over at the MFT Challenge Blog!
Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to play along with this week’s MFT sketch!
Hey there! I’m here with some exciting news today – I’m the July Guest Designer at My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge blog! How fun is that? I love using sketches in my card designs, so was thrilled to get to play with some MFT goodies and sketches.
I took Sketch #235 and created a bright and simple birthday card:
I used a yellow, teal and green color scheme to create a card that I thought would work for any recipient. I stamped a balloon background on my focal point circle element and then topped it off with a sentiment banner and two stamped and die cut balloons. I added some white gel pen to the stamped balloons to give them a bit of reflection.
I hope you play along with this week’s sketch! I’d love to see what you create! Thank you so much for stopping by and thanks to My Favorite Things for letting me play along with them this month!
