Hey there! I hope you had a great weekend! I had a nice, crafty weekend working on some projects and enjoyed pretty much every second of it. Although, I did get a bit distracted yesterday watching the semi-finals of the US Open and witnessing an amazing victory by Novak Djokovic (my favorite player since last year's US Open). After he won Wimbledon earlier this summer, I made a little inspirational graphic with a quote from Djokovic in his post-match interview with John McEnroe. I thought I'd share it since it uses a few fun digital elements.

McEnroe asked him what the biggest difference has been in his game over the last year. And Djokovic said that he credits some of his success to improved shots, but that mostly it was a change in his mindset and that he finally believed he could win against top players. And clearly his belief in himself has given him the mental strength that he needs to succeed. I'm just so inspired by this idea and have really tried to take a note from Djokovic to believe in myself a little bit more. Very empowering. So, tonight he plays Rafael Nadal and I'm wishing him the best of luck for another win (which I think he will). But even if he doesn't, I'm still such a proud fan. 🙂
Sorry for all the tennis jabber, but I'm quite excited about it. 🙂 Now onto a card I made recently:
Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Paper
Clear stamps: Layers of Color, Papertrey Ink
Brad: K & Co.
Rhinestones: Queen & Co.
This card turned out to be a little more neon than I wanted, but I think it would be good for the right person – someone who likes bright colors, preferably. 🙂 I took stamps from a few Layers of Colors sets to create this background – I find when I'm doing this, starting from the inside out is the best way to get an even design.
I hope you have a great start to the week! Thanks so much for stopping by!
