Hey there friends! Happy Labor Day! I must say that this 3-day weekend has been glorious. That extra day just gives me an edge and I feel much more ready for work tomorrow. It's lovely. I hope you're enjoying your weekend as well! And some US Open tennis, perhaps? Yes, I'm loving it. And Novak Djokovic, as always. 🙂
Today, I'm sharing a little gift box that I made using handmade cardstock flowers.
Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Paper
Patterned paper: BasicGrey
Rhinestones: My Little Yellow Bicycle
Marker: Marvy Uchida
Label die cut: Spellbinders
When covering a box like this in cardstock, I first trace each side's shape onto the cardstock, then cut and adhere piece by piece rather than using a wrap. I did, however, create a wrap for the patterned floral paper to create a more seamless look. For the flowers, I simply trimmed uneven, circles from cardstock, crumpled them and nested them inside one another. A little glitter and a rhinestone and you're done! I made this with Mother's Day in mind, but I really think this would work for any birthday or celebration.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a fantastic Labor Day (or a fantastic Monday if you're outside the US)! I'll be celebrating with a tiny bit of shopping and a bigger bit of crafting. Hope you'll be getting crafty too!
