Peek of the Week 5/5/10

Hi friends! Happy Cinco de Mayo! I can't believe it's almost been a year since I graduated college! I graduated on 5/10/09 and last Cinco De Mayo was one of my favorite college experiences. I'm definitely feeling a little nostalgic for those days.

Anyhoo, on with today's card! Since Mother's Day is right around the corner, I'm sharing a special card for Mom! Here it is:

SUPPLIES:  Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Paper  Ribbon: Papertrey ink  Stamps: Papertrey Ink  Embossing powder: Hampton Arts  Buttons: Papertrey Ink  Decorative edge scissors: Provo Craft  Rhinestones: Queen & Co.  Colored pencils: Crayola

This card was really fun to make. I used the gorgeous Beautiful Blooms stamp set from Papertrey Ink to make a patterned paper and heat embossed them for texture. I colored in a few of them with purple colored pencils and then added buttons and rhinestones. I adore the color purple, so I really like this card…if I may so myself. 🙂 Hope you like it too!
