Pretty Things

Hi there! Happy Friday! I have a little impromptu post today because I'm finding myself really infatuated with a few fun items lately. So I thought I'd share. 🙂

First up is my favorite and that's because it was just sent to me in the mail as a gift! How amazing is that? It made my week. This necklace is indie-made (which I support whenever possible) from Ruche. You can check out their gorgeous clothes and accessories, etc. at www.shopruche.com. This is the "For the Love of Craft" necklace and it's even more gorgeous in person if that's possible. I pretty much want to wear it every day of my life. 🙂

Next up is this yummy new tea. I'm a sucker for anything at the grocery store that says "New!" on it, but this is definitely worth the hype. It's a mix of chamomile, spearmint, west indian lemongrass, natural french vanilla flavor, tilia flowers, blackberry leaves, hawthorn, orange blossoms and rosebuds. With a little sugar and some honey, it's seriously like comfort in a mug. And who doesn't love feeling like a bear in a hammock on a safari?

This next one I don't actually own, but I'm completely craving it in a frivolous sort of way. It's called "You Don't Know Jacques" by OPI and it's the most beautiful taupe color I've ever seen. Taupe nail polish is everywhere now and I'm totally in support of the bandwagon. Gorgeous.

Here's another one that I don't yet own, but need in my life. It's the Lemon Vanilla candle from Bath & Body Works' new summer line. The lotion is to die for and I really want my apartment to smell like this heavenly scent. Yum!

And last but not least in my list of pretty things isn't a "thing" at all. It's a quote from one of my favorite podcasts that I listen to called Craftcast. I heard it yesterday and it just struck me as really powerful. It's definitely motivational for someone like me who has a lot of goals in mind and just needs a kick in the butt to accomplish them:

"Consistency. Whatever you're doing, there are Hi's and Low's, but no matter what, the key ingredient is consistency … that you get down and do the work. That, if you don't feel like doing the work, you still sit down and do the work. If you are too busy to do the work, you make time and you still do the work. The key to getting from point A to point B is consistency."

That's all! Hope you enjoyed a little peek into what I'm loving lately. 🙂 Have a fantastic weekend!

<3,

Kalyn
