For the last few days, I've been thinking about what I should blog about next. There hasn't been much going on for me in the last week or so and I was starting to get a little bummed because I missed blogging. I've definitely got some fun events coming up that I'm looking forward to writing about, but for now, I'm kind of in a little "blogging rut."
So, since I've been feeling like there isn't much going on in my life right now, I thought, "why don't I write about what IS going on, even if it's not that interesting?" And here it is – a few snapshots of my life right now, boring as they may be:
My new water bottle: I'm absolutely loving this thing. I finally got my very own Camelbak that I can take to class with me and refill at my leisure! I love the pearly blue color 🙂
Drawing: I'm taking a drawing class this semester and this is a semi-blind contour drawing I did of sunflowers at the beginning of the course. I really enjoy being able to sit down and draw 2 days a week in class, but the constant homework assignments are definitely overwhelming. Unfortunately, the homework part makes the drawing part a lot less fun.
Reading, reading and more reading: Here are a few of the books I've been reading for class. Luckily, I've been assigned pretty interesting reading this semester and I've enjoyed a lot of the essays and memoirs I've read so far. Reading is definitely what takes up a big portion of my day.
Writing, writing, and more writing: See a pattern here? Haha As a creative writing major, I have to write a lot. I don't have any tests or final exams, just portfolios with writing that has been through several drafts. Sometimes writing is fun for me, but most of the time it's a lot of hard work and not as much fun. Nonetheless, I spend lots of my time in front of Word documents, so it has to be included.
